What makes us different?
Likeminded
In order for the Crowds For Christ concept to work, its participants must be of a similar mind. To achieve this, we require that all users agree and adhere to a common Statement of Faith. Users must agree on core tenants of Scripture, but may disagree on secondary and peripheral issues. By doing so, we hope to create a network where the vast majority of users are running the race hard, in spirit and in truth, seeking God's glory, and maturing in Christlikeness.
Collaboration
The mobile app platform makes it easier to collaborate across churches, parachurch ministries, and denominations. The opportunity to partner with churches and ministries outside of your current network is there if you choose to engage it. However, our platform is designed to allow you to only work within your current network of churches and ministries if you so wish.
Focus Off Individuals
Some of our greatest benefits are geared toward individuals. However, contrary to other social media tools, you will not find features that allow an individual to promote themself. Individual users will not have the tools to publicly post updates, photos, videos, needs or comments. To be perfectly honest, we simply don't trust you or ourselves. Individual prayer requests can be shared in private prayer groups, but only publicly if posted by a church. Additionally, individuals must affiliate with a local church within thirty days of joining.
Focus On Churches
We are committed to healthy churches and seeing individuals thrive within those communities. We do not promote a structure where individuals may participate in ministry work outside of the leadership and oversight of a healthy local church. As previously stated, individuals must join our platform under the umbrella of a local church, therefore, churches have the authority and responsibility of oversight. Our tools allow churches to approve, discipline, and disaffiliate individuals from their umbrella as they would in any other case.
Focus On Prayer & Giving
The platform is designed to drive prayer. Our hope is that by channeling prayer requests from across your network, into one sortable prayer list, it will cause you to pray more.
Our platform is also designed to make giving and serving easier for you. Our hope is that by having more up to date information, greater insight about the needs within your network, and a centralized giving location, it will cause you to be more generous, self-sacrificing, and mature in your Christlikeness.
Free Use
Unlike many resources, our platform doesn't require a financial contribution from you. It is important that you feel no obligation to financially commit to the platform. If you do financially commit, you are free to terminate that commitment and continue enjoying the benefits. Instead, what we ask is that you 1) pray for our endeavor, 2) introduce others in your network to us, and 3) prayerfully consider a monthly donation. Learn more about this here. For full disclosure, we do charge a crowdfunding fee when donations are made to ministries, churches are exempt from this.
